about susie
Susie Kaldis is a multidisciplinary artist and designer based in rural western Colorado. She holds a BFA in Fine Art Media from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA and has been working professionally in the creative industry since 2011. With a strong focus on branding, visual storytelling, and strategic marketing, Susie has collaborated with over 30 local businesses and organizations to bring their visions to life.
She is the owner of Pollinate Studios, a vibrant creative workspace in downtown Paonia, and the co-owner of Jimmy’s Joint Dispensary, one of the town’s locally owned cannabis shops. Whether through design, community building, or entrepreneurship, Susie is committed to cultivating creativity and connection in the North Fork Valley.
From 2012 to 2023, Susie played a key role in the growth and success of the North Fork Valley Creative Coalition, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the local creative economy. As a founding member and longtime contributor, she led numerous initiatives—from securing the Colorado Creative District designation to managing public art installations and community signage projects. Her work spanned project management, grant writing, and developing a membership structure with meaningful services for artists and businesses. As the coalition’s lead graphic designer and marketing strategist, Susie helped shape a distinct regional identity that continues to uplift and promote creativity throughout the North Fork Valley.
In 2022, Susie recommitted to her fine art practice, exploring a range of mediums including painting, drawing, photography, graphic work, and collage. She spent two winter sessions at Anderson Ranch Art Center in Snowmass, CO immersed in digital art, painting, and collage techniques. Her current work reflects both her deep creative roots and her connection to place, often weaving together elements of nature, symbolism, and design. Susie exhibits locally at Pollinate Studios in Paonia, CO, and is open to gallery opportunities and exhibitions that align with her evolving artistic vision.
